Well, it's happened. #45 has been fingerprinted and arraigned. Turns out he didn't have a mug shot taken for two reasons -- one is there is no way to take the picture where he was arraigned and they would have to take him to a different building and that was just too much security. Also, you take mug shots so you can show the picture if the criminal escapes and needs to be caught. They definitely don't need a picture of the ex-president.
He sneered that he would smile for the photographers, but they took him into the building away from the crowds. He didn't even get to see that the "protest" crowd was smaller than expected. The one photo they showed from inside the court just showed him as very angry.
Apparently he didn't speak, but is due to give a speech at Mar-a-Lago tonight...since he's not the president, I don't know who is paying for the broadcast, or if it will only be to the people in the audience.
He doesn't go back for trial until December, which seems like such a long time from now. I wonder if any other other people who are investigating him will indict him before then.
I don't understand how his cult remains faithful in light of all the things we are learning about his crimes.
