Indiana Jones

So Ned got his garden set up.  He's planted two kinds of tomato plants, in addition to the basil.  I'll keep track at how fast the tomato plants grow.  I'm already looking forward to a tomato sandwich with a tomato picked off of Ned's plant!  I wonder if squirrels like tomatoes.  I've noticed that our apple tree seems to be dripping with apples.  I hope the squirrels leave us enough for a pie.

When we go to Santa Barbara next month to celebrate Tom's birthday, Jeri will be there too and we have planned a family movie night, all of us going to see the new Indiana Jones film.  I don't know how many of the films I've seen, but I think only two and I don't remember them at all, so I'm starting to watch them on Starz so I'll be all ready for the new one.

Last night I watched Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.  I don't remember seeing any of it, except the dinner scene so I must have watched the movie, but I sure have no recollection of it.  But my goodness,  that movie has absolutely NO quiet moments.  It's non-stop action for 2 hours. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen, which is weird for me since I usually fall asleep watching something at night.

We get the magazine "This Week" each week and I always check on their recommendation for movies and TV shows, both shows that are coming on this week, and shows that they recommend you stream.  One of the series that they recommended streaming was Vida, about two sisters, who hate each other, coming together after their mother's death and how her death affected them, having to take care of (or sell) her business.

I've watched 3 episodes and won't be watching any more.  I don't have a lot of problem watching sex on the screen, but this seems to almost be a pornographic series, with many sexual encounters (of all kinds) several times in each hour.  It's the first time I've seen full frontal male nudity to such extent.  Not really sure why "This Week" thinks this is a good series to stream.
