Our friend Jeri (godmother to our daughter) moved back to California from Arizona seven months ago, after her husband died, We invited her to join us for lunch at Fenton's on my birthday, but she couldn't make it. However, her son Liam is here from Washington and invited us and Char to meet them for lunch today. Char decided to include Rich and Pat, also from our Pinata Group. (You should read that link so you understand about the Pinata Group.)
So we all met at Fenton's today and what a fantastic day it was. We have seen Char and her kids, of course, but hadn't seen Jeri in awhile
and it has been literally years since we've seen or heard from Rich and Pat.
Two of Char's daughters came with her, Ned was with us, and Liam was with Jeri. What I love when we get together is that all the Pinata kids grew up as siblings and when they get together now, they gravitate to each other and are so comfortable getting caught up on each other's lives.
I had my usual crab salad sandwich, of course, as did Walt and Char. Fenton's onion rings are great.
The waiter took pictures of our group and both Ned and Liam took pictures. But what a great lunch it was and how wonderful to see everyone again.
