Dinner Out

I actually went out last night.  We were invited to Marta's parents' house to have dinner with her brother and his wife, who were visiting from...wherever they live. Ned brought the car to the street opposite the driveway, which meant I got to walk on the new driveway and I was amused to see the figure Ned drew in one corner of it.

Bean tacos are a favorite of Marta's family.  Her stepmother fixes them every Christmas Eve and we have been there several years for bean tacos.  With Marta's brother in town, it was obvious the we had to have bean tacos.

It was a lovely dinner, and a nice visit.  I had not seen Marta's brother since her and Ned's wedding, so it was like meeting a strange, but so nice. He was not married then, so this was a chance to meet his wife as well.

Marta and her stepmother are both early to bed people, so we didn't stay long, but it was a nice evening and so nice to get out...and to walk on the new driveway!
