going home

 So this was the day we were going home..  Ned wanted to leave around 10 so we all had an early breakfast.


Ned arrived with Lacie and Lacie talked to us about their recent vacation in Mexico, and showed lots of photos she had  taken.



We got on the road by  10:30 and  thank goodness the traffic was so much better.  Leaving Santa Barbara it was actually foggy.  We drove for a couple of hours and then stopped to get hamburgers for lunch.  Walt took over the driving for a few hours, then Ned took it over for the final miles going home. 

It was almost 100 degrees when we got to Davis.  I texted Alice Nan, who said Joe and Tom were on the golf course and that it was 65.  Sigh.  But it was good to be home, and Bubba was happy to see us.

I got the first two entries for this vacation written, then went to sleep and got up to finish it.

Today I have to start answering all the mail that arrived while we were gone!  It was a good weekend.  I had a great time.
